TRADITIONS
Powder Puff Football
Every fall the senior and junior classes take part in the annual Powder Puff flag football game.
Started in 1999, this game has become a "can't miss" event as the teams compete, entertain, and rewrite the rules of
flag football. Wearing their class colors and cheered on by their "Little Sisters", this spirited rivalry attracts
a big crowd cheering on the two teams. The game is played at
Herring Run Park. The game is scheduled for the Friday
before Thanksgiving.
Spirit Week
Leading up to the IND-Mercy game, Spirit Week is held to show our school pride and build excitement for the game.
The week
consists of class competitions for locker room decorations and dances, a pep rally, and the JV IND-Mercy contest.
The week concludes on Friday night with "The Game" and a packed house at the
Towson Center.
Sports Banquet
The Sports Banquet marks the conclusion of the athletic year by honoring all the student athletes that participated in a
sport in the past year. The evening consists of a buffet dinner, the Hall of Fame Inductions, a brief recap of each
sport with team awards, and the presentation of the senior awards. Check back when more details become available.
