FACILITIES
Despite not having outdoor fields on school property, IND's indoor facilities rival any other local high school with
two gymnasiums and a fitness center that house our indoor sports. For our outdoor teams we make use of local
parks just a short distance from school that provide excellent facilities for our teams.

Marion I. Knott
Gymnasium

IND is home to the
Marion I. Knott Gymnasium
which opened in 1992 as a gift from the Knott Foundation. It
is home to our Basketball, Volleyball, and Badminton teams, and our
Cheerleading squads. It serves as well as an indoor practice
area for our outdoor sports during the winter or in inclement
weather. |

Fathers' Club Hall

Fathers' Club Hall, also known
as the Old Gym, has been recently renovated and contains the King Fitness Center
and the DiMartino Training Center. The King
Fitness Center boasts weight training equipment and fitness machines. The
DiMartino Training Center is home to IND's original basketball court and an
indoor batting cage for the softball team. Fathers' Club Hall serves
as a much needed extra area for indoor practice. |

Meadowwood
Park |

The Soccer, Field Hockey, and Lacrosse teams play their games at
Meadowwood Park in
Brooklandville. |

Herring
Run Park |
|
|
|
The Cross Country team hosts their meets at
Herring Run Park. In addition, the
Soccer, Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams use the park for practice. |

Patterson
Park |

The Softball teams call Patterson Park
home. The teams use the two fields in the northeast corner of
the park at the corner of Baltimore and Linwood Streets. |

The Indoor Track team practices on the indoor track at the
Downtown Athletic Club.
The majority of league meets are held at the
Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in
Landover. |

Classrooms Foundation Marina |

The Crew team stores its boats and launches for practice near the
Living Classrooms Foundation Marina
in Fells Point. Practices take place in the Inner Harbor. |
